Whenever you print a project for a large client, they usually will want it kitted and shipped out to distributors, franchisees, or sales teams. This is pretty straightforward but when volume comes into play, it gets tricky. For example, choose a box that’s too light and your goods might get crushed in transit. Choose one too heavy and you might pay through the nose for extra, unnecessary shipping costs.
When different materials are going to different locations there could be confusion amongst your staffers, or inability to pick the right goods for a particular shipment. Sometimes, when you ship thousands of items at once, the label printer might jam up, and labels could go missing during the process. So how do you combat all these (and many more) issues from sabotaging your project, that usually is tied to a deadline.
Start with experienced people who know how to manage the project correctly. I can recall more than one project during our early days where we had some of these issues and it affected the projects. Now, we know better and have systems in place to stop it carnage.
